Check out this video and track from the one and only Miles Bonny. He’s taken a Kermit the Frog song called A Song From Kermit, recorded his own horns and percussion, and also his own rendition of the vocals, then added it to the video. However, the most incredible thing is not how leftfield such a project like this may seem, but actually just how fantastic it sounds!
Miles Bonny is one of my favourite artists right now and he’s turned a sweet little … [read more]

Check out the above video for the new Bonobo track The Keeper, featuring brand new Ninja Tune signing Andreya Triana.
It’s been a while since we’ve got some proper new material from Bonobo and I reckon it’s been worth the wait because this track is stunning, a real warm nu-jazz /lo-fi tune with sultry vocals from the ever-talented Andreya Triana. The video, as you will see, is a classy affair with low lighting and some clever camera tricks – fancy stuff indeed! So, … [read more]

Nick Woodmansey is a British drummer/percussionist and producer. Emanative is his space-jazz project, and Space is the debut LP that recently dropped on Futuristica Music. There needs to be a fuss made about Emanative and this LP, and I’m gonna tell you why.

This is the very polished looking new video for Sixteen by The Heavy. The track is lifted from the upcoming new album by The Heavy called The House That Dirt Built, which comes out via Ninja Tune imprint Counter Records on 21st September. Described as “voodoo soul” with a garage-band backbone, it’s a gritty track with raw instrumentation and an infectious swing to it.

Check out the above video to Darondo‘s track Listen To My Song from his 2006 LP, on Ubiquity, Let My People Go. Darondo is looking as classy as ever and it’s good to finally see an official video released from Let My People Go, which was one of 2006′s finest delights.
For those not in the know, Darondo was a soul singer from way back who choose to keep his talent to being just a hobby – that was until a few years … [read more]

This track instantly struck a chord with me – the … [read more]
