This past Saturday night, 19th March, I was in attendance for the London leg of Submotion Orchestra‘s UK tour at the Jazz Cafe in London. The venue was absolutely rammed full of people – the signs outside said “SOLD OUT” and they weren’t lying either!
There was a lot of hype recently when promo for the track All Yours began to do the rounds and the hype was for good reason. Genuinely the first new piece of music I’d heard for a while that … [read more]

The mysterious Berlin-based electronic producer Klaar currently has his fantastic remix of One In A Million by the late Aaliyah available for FREE download via Bandcamp. On a drag/witch house/haunted house (whatever you want to call the sub-genre) tip, it takes the original and adds a hard hitting, yet moody as hell, angle. Originally only available via YouTube at the end of last year, Klaar has decided now to show some new year generousity and give it away – likely to be limited to … [read more]
Check this Santi Aguado directed music video for the track Turn My Clock by Barcelona-based Debilos (aka Debilorithmicos), featuring the talented Nordic/Spanish songstress Anqui. Debilos, the duo comprised of El Chavo and Beatspoke, combine laid back instrumentation with solid broken-beat rhythms on Turn My Clock, utilising understated accompaniment and, of course, the soulful tones of Anqui to complete the beautiful puzzle.
The warm, and slightly infectious, Turn My Clock will be released in February on 12-inch vinyl and digital download through the Molts … [read more]
