PODCAST: Jus Like Music Volume 32

Just before I made my mad dash to leave Australia to return to England, I managed to cook up Volume 32 of the podcast. There’s a slight bias towards fresh sounding alternative hip-hop on this one, but also some space for some funk and soul and the classy Indigo Jam Unit cover of Common’s The Light right at the end there. So get subscribed and/or downloading to enjoy a delicious blend that includes tracks from Hudson Mohawke, 1000names, Jackhigh and plenty of other tasty treats too!
Volume 32 tracklisting:
01. Hudson Mohawke – Velvet Peel
02. Slugabed – Once A Philosopher
03. Red – Ice Cold
04. J Dilla – Mythsysizer
05. 1000names – Cloudride (with 215 TFK)

You make me giggle, in a good way, because oh sir oh sir, you are way too kind to all of us for treating us to this delicious little podcast, with all things considered like the move etc.
Sorry if it came across that way. I was determined to get it done (finally!) before I left, and… I did.

Welcome to the big…. tube? What do we call London now?
Dope selection as always! not diggin the Myron & E stuff though. Is it me or is it just a bit too much out of tune? Next podcast track tip: Quantic and His Combo Bárbaro – I Just Fell In Love Again (feat. Kabir)!
Keep it up-up-up!
Personally I think part of the appeal of that retro style of soul is how rough it is. A lot of this type of soul way back when was more about the character of the songs rather than the natural skill or talent of the vocalists. Having said that, you’re more than entitled to your opinion, of course.
Hahaha the track he recommended is on my new podcast, good taste
